Globetrotter

Since I left EY in May, I have been lucky enough to continue travelling. Thank you, Boo! Why did I choose to join aviation back in 2007? Actually, I guess it has always been a dream to don a flight attendant uniform, strut down the aisle looking pretty, walk about airport being admired. I still remember when I was young, whenever someone travels, the ENTIRE family will go to the airport to send this VIP off. I am sure many families do the same. Because back then, being in a giant tin can that can fly is actually something only the privileged were able to do. But nowadays, EVERYONE can fly. Not promoting for any airlines here. The first time I was in an airplane was possibly in 1998. I followed my family (grand aunt, aunties, uncle and cousins) on a tour to Yunnan, China. I can't recall much on the aircraft nor the airline we took, but I remembered transiting in Bangkok. It was an 8-day tour (I think) and I have never missed my parents so much. First time being away from the ...

So, what do you do now?

Hello! You know, after being away from work for about half a year now, there are less and less people asking me, "So, what do you do now?" There was a time when almost every one was asking *check my FB or IG yo!* I mean like, when I say, "I'm retired." They laugh it off. I guess it is just perception that the society just does not retire at the age of 32 (I wanna say, well technically, I am still 31. I can see some of you rolling your eyes as I say this). Haha, but I am born end of the year! So what do I do now? I have actually done quite a number of things since retirement. I am working out more. Tennis, jogging, swimming, table tennis, brisk walking. Boo recently bought a 10lb (4.5kg) dumbbell and I am lifting that as well. *chicken wing, please go away!* I have more time with my bunnies. They don't have to go to the pet hotel too often nowadays. You know, bunnies actually have feelings too. Every morning that Boo is home, he normally wakes up earli...

Attention Crew At Station!

Heya! Today I feel a little lonely. I will tell you why I feel that way. It has been about half a year since I left the work force. I wanted to say since I left flying, but I have not flown for quite long due to safety trainings and academy duties, so it is more of like leaving an office job. And I do reminisce about my job some times. Back then, I always had people around me. I'll say about 10-12 hours per day, I am surrounded by people. Be it trainees, colleagues, bosses, friends, I get to meet them about 5x in a work week. And when I get home and Boo is off, that will be say, another 3-4 hours of having a human companionship. You might wonder why is my working hour so long? I think I was just in love with what I was doing. And yes, more frequent than not, I am at the academy from 0645-1845. But nowadays, it is not as easy to get that kind of companionships anymore. Sure, I meet some of my closer friends once a week or so (if I am lucky). And with them being in the aviatio...

CNY is like almost here!

Heya! I was doing laundry and then it suddenly struck me, CNY is like a month plus away and I have not bought any red clothings yet! See, every single year, we always have to have at least one red baju for CNY. And this is to be worn on the first day of CNY. My parents said that my gramma say that we must wear red on first day, because... actually, I wanna say because ONG ma... but that's so #mainstream. Anyhoooo, my siblings and I always wear red, I even make Boo wear red as well, but somehow like the past few years, my cousins don't? They don't want ONG arh? I want to be gramma's favourite so I wear lorrrr... 😍😍💰💰 So yes, back to my CNY baju dilemma. How lah how lah? No red baju? Every year, I will buy my clothes at least 2 months ahead. We must always wear new baju during CNY because it is chinese NEW year ma. New year must have New Baju, New kasut, New handbag, New necklace, New... lol, as long as pandai budget, enough. This was last year, and it was...

Hello again!

It's been say, about 9 years since I last had a blog. I have deleted that blog as it contained too many company-sensitive information. I was a good employee. I followed the rule (lol, when I got to know about the severe repercussions) *slow claps* So now, I have decided to start blogging once again. Got the inspiration from several Youtubers/entrepreneurs/Instagrammers etc. Thought to myself, why not? So let's do a quick flash back on what has happened the past 9 years! 2007 - Joined an aviation company in the Middle East. 2008 - Got introduced to Boo. 2009 - Became a premium-class cabin crew. 2010 - Bought my first car in the UAE. 2011 - Got promoted as Cabin Senior. 2012 - Joined the safety training team. 2013 - Welcome home, Choo Choo Train and Shoo Bee Doo! 2014 - Got married! Got promoted as Cabin Manager! 2015 - Brought a brand new A380 back to base :) 2016 - Retired in May *hooray!* Now that we are up to date, let me tell you about the ideas I have for ...
